What's the first thing that will enter your mind when you hear the word "Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)"?
Community service and charity works. Sounds pretty simple right, but after our first meeting in BUS560M it's not that simple. The principle of triple bottom line would best describe it. An organization should think not only its profit but the people within in the community and Mother Earth to promote sustainability.
Through the guiding principle of the La Sallian teachings, La Sallian Business Leadership Framework was established:
✔️ Higher Purpose
✔️ Demands of National and Global Imperatives
✔️ Family and Resource Foundation
✔️ Management Decision and Actions
The said framework not only bridges Catholic teachings but instill the those values to the young professional, to become more socially responsible and aware of the consequences of the their actions. If those were instill in every leader then it would be a better world to live in, and I believe social justice will be promoted and service to others.
I am very eager to learn more about the said framework as we go along this semester. I believed that we should be a catalyst for change if we wanted a better future. Like what Cinderalla's mom last words, "Have courage and be kind"
